Thiruvananthapuram : Temporary worker PO Sathiamma was removed from her job at Veterinary Hospital based on complaint indicating candidate impersonation, said Minister J Chinchu Rani.
Sthiamma had taken the job as “Jijimol” who was the original appointee. The two shared proceeds from wages. The complaint drwing attention to the malpractice was received a week ago, the minister said, responding to reporters, adding that there was nothing about revenge politics in the removal.
Part-time sweepers are recruited at various establishments through Kudumbasree and Jijimol was member of a Kudumbasree unit named Aishwarya in charge of recruitments in the area. The unit issued job letter to Jijimol who also receives the salary into her bank account while it is Sathiamma who is on the job. I don’t know how such a thing could possibly happen, the minister told reporters.
It was rumoured that Sathiamma was sacked from Kaithepalam for speaking good about former CM Oomen Chandy to T channels - a tale spun without knowledge to the ground impersonation involved.
