Thiruvananthapuram : The Core Committee assessment meeting Tuesday chaired by the Chief Secretary forecast grim picture of Covid spread for Kerala in coming days, with daily cases likely spiking as high as 40,000. 1,18.673 persons currently remain under treatment in the state.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called a high-level meeting later in the day to take stock of covid situation in the state. Top officials including the Chief Secretary will participate in the meeting. Night curfew is the latest restriction imposed to contain the spread. The curfew hours begin 9 pm night up to 5 am morning.
