WAYANAD : The Minister for Education C Ravindranath, announced a Rs 2-crore package for development of basic infrastructure at Sarvjana Vocational Higher Secondary School(VHSS) in Sultan Bathery.
The fund shall be released as soon as the Municipality draws up plan for the project, the minister said.
The govt will also pursue development activities pertaining to infrastructure at all schools in the district after detailed survey, Ravindranath added.
The minister visited the house of 10-year-old Shahala in Sultan Bathery on Saturday morning, to offer personal condolences to the bereaved family.
10-year-old Shahala, a student of Sarvajana VHSS, died from snake bite inside the classroom owing to callousness of school authorities there.
