Kochi : “Marunadan Malayali” online channel editor Shajan Scaria fails to turn up before Enforcement Directorate(ED) for questioning on Thursday. According to sources, he has gone into hiding after being served Notice under Foreign Exchange Management Act(FEMA).
The Notice was delivered to his home address in Kottayam, but he refused to accept it. ED then repeated the Notice, one in which he was asked to furnish details of all his assets, income tax records of last ten years and balance sheet thereof
The High Court will give its ruling t on Shajan’s anticipatory bail plea on Friday. During the course of a hearing, the court slammed Shajan’s conduct of journalism. The case related to MLA PV Srinijin who accused Shajan of inflicting personal insults via fake news.
