Thiruvananthapuram : RSP leader Shibu Baby John removes himself on a long leave from party. Incidentally, he remained conspicuously absent at all of UDF’s meetings held after the election debacle.
Shibu Baby John has been a long-standing critique of the disunity plaguing UDF. However, his defeat as UDF candidate in Chavara is believed to have been the final jolt - a shock that heightened his disillusionment with the front.
Speaking to media, Shibu John said he was staying away briefly owing to personal and health reasons. He also emphasised he would continue to be an RSP man always. On switching over alliance, Shibu John was evasive saying, decisions will be taken in line with evolving political conditions.
