Thiruvananthapuram :The debate organised by K-Rail corporation titled “Vadhikyanum Jaikyanumalla, Ariyanum Arikyanum(Not For Arguing and Winning; Rather For Info and Informing)” is progressing, participants of which comprise former Vice Chancellor of Kerala Technology University, Dr. Kanjaria P Isaac, Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commece presdient SN Rehguchandran and retd. Railway Board member Subadh Kumar Jain, Dr. RVG Menon.
Kerala must have speedy travel facility. Only then will businesses come into state, said SN Ramachandran. SilverLine will spell development in the state’s transport sector and will rejuvenate the state economy, said Dr. Kanjeria. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that transport development is absolutely a must for Kerala; SilverLine is a project envisaged with needs of the future, said Dr. SN Ramchandran.
It’s not SilverLine that’s a hassle. Rather it is existing transport modes that’s a problem, said Dr, RVG Menon. Public transportation is important to Kerala. Projects are getting delayed owing to shoddy construction of roads; This debate should have been held three or four years ago; saying we have decided it all and will go ahead with it at all costs is a dreadful proclamation, said Menon.
