Thiruvananthapuram : Sarita S Nair was arrested on Thursday in connection with the sensational Solar Scam. Police took her into custody from her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. The arrest comes over her continued failure to appear before the court.
The current case pertains to Kozhikode native, Abdul Majeed, who was allegedly duped of Rs 42 lakh by Sarita on false promise of installing solar panels.
In the case, the Kozhikode Judicial First Class Court earlier issued arrest warrants for Biju Radhakrishnan and Sarita after canceling their bails. The court had ordered appearances before it on 25th of February. Biju Radhakrishnan is first accused in the case and Sarita, second.
