Kozhikode:Kozhikode: The Kozhikode court adjourned Solar case verdict to 25th of this month . It meanwhile issued warrants to all three accused including Biju Radhakirshnan and Saritha S Nair, ordering them to appear before court on the day. The Judicial 1st Class Magistrate court in its ruling also cancelled existential bails for all three.
While prosecution argued against the adjournmentment and sought cancellation of bails for all three, Biju Radhakrishnan sought extension saying travel to Kozhikode would not be possible as he was recuperating from a recent angioplasty procedure. Saritha’s lawyer also sought postponement citing her treatment at Sree Chitra hospital in Thiruvananthapuram
The Case
The owner of Kozhikode-based Associated Steels, Abdul Majeed, was allegedly duped of Rs 42.70 lakhs. Team Solar had swindled the money in question promising distribution of solar panels, lights, and water heaters. Majeed was assured of the company franchise for the Malabar region for which, Biju and Saritha accepted lumpsum from himpersonally, the case read.
Biju is 1st accused in the case and Saritha the second. Kodunaloor native B Manmon is the third accused for his role in fabricating fake documents. Advocate Jeffrey George Joseph appeared for the prosecution in today’s hearing while Adv Premlal represented Saritha and Advocate E Pradeep Kumar appeared for Biju.
