Aluva : Industries Minister P. Rajeev on Monday inaugurated renovated unit of Steel Industrials Kerala Ltd(SILK) in Cherthala. SILK is a profit-making public establishment of state in the iron-melting sector, said minister speaking at the ceremony.
SILK transformed to being able to rake up top fabrication tasks in the market with competitive edge. Several jobworks are undertaken here for companies such as CSN Solar etc
It is also being planned to set up a KINFRA—helmed industrial park, with SILK participation at excess land strip owned by it. Food Park in Cherthala will start to function in January, the minister said.
