Uduma : A Plus II student died after the bike he was riding crashed with a tanker lorry. His friends, pillion riding, sustained critical wounds. The deceased has been identified as student of Higher Secondary School, Ashfakhana(18) residing at Bekal Nauval.
The accident took place at Pallikkara-Peria road junction on Monday 11.45 pm. The injured friends of Ashfakhana are admitted into Mangaluru Hospital.
The group was returning home after playing football at Pallikara maidan. As their scooter was about to enter national highway at the intercross, a Kanhangad-bound tanker truck from Bekkal side collided with it.
