Kochi: Antique scammer Monson Mavunkal’s driver Ajith lets on crucial witness testimony affirming he personally saw K Sudhakaran accept Rs lakh from Monson at the fake museum residence in Kochi’s Kaloor. According to Ajith, Monson transferred more money into the bank account of Sudhakaran’s close aid and Youth Congress leader Ebin Abraham.
Ajith refuted Sudhakaran’s claim that he visited Monson’s residence for skin treatment. Sudhakaran and Monson share close friendship dating back years, said Ajith. There is nothing like treatment services at Monsons, said Ajith, adding that, he had handed over to Crime Branch the bank slips showing money transfers made by Monson to Ebin.
Ajith also said there were more incriminating documents and proofs that are not out, just yet.
Backdrop: In the case surrounding fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal being investigated by the Crime Branch, K Sudhakaran is named as second accused. There is evidence of numerous dubious visits KPCC leader made to Monson’s house in Kaloor and witnesses to money transfers for what appears to be broking or mediating deals for Monson’s fake antique deals.
