Kozhikode : Deshabhimani staff photographer, Sumesh Kodiyath, has won the Mushtak Sports Photography Award instituted by Calicut Ptess Club in memory of eminent sports writer PA Mohammed Koya aka Mushtak. The award, supported jointly by District Football Association, carries with it a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and citation.

Picked for the award as best was, the picture shot of winning performer’s dive in long jump at the Kerala Athletic Meet. It was published in Deshabhimani on 21st December 2021. The jury comprised well known photographers P Mustafa Ali, journalist Kovoor, CP Vijaykrishnan.
