Supreme Court Lends Nod For Plus I Exams; Finds Govt Submission Satisfactory

New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Friday granted consent for Plus I examinations in state after it found satisfactory the government submission for conduct of offline exams.

Students will  encounter no difficulty whatsoever, said Education Minister V Sivankutty, adding that ; the examination timetable shall be revised.

Exams will be conducted adhering to all Covid protocols and all schools disinfected. In its affidavit submitted to court, the government stated how online exams were not pragmatic and assured provision of all safety measures.

The state had conducted SSLC and Plus Two exams successfully and engineering entrance examinations too, the government informed the court and cited how there were students who had no access to even mobile phones, meaning, they will unable to give exams if conducted online.

The government also drew court attention to the fact that it would be possible for students to complete their Plus II course only if Plus I exams were through.

The government also submitted that it shall make separate arrangements for Plus I students who might be infected with Covid.
