New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Monday refusef to intervene with land survey and social impact assessment process underway for Kerla's semi high-speed rail corridor project, SilverLine.
The ruling came from Bench comprising Jusices MR Shah and RV Nagarthna over a batch of petitions challenging Kerala High Court’s Division Bench order that set aside Single Bench order to stay the processes.
The apex court expresses disagreement over Single Bench order that stayed survey of petitioner’s properties and all acquisition measures. “The Single Judge ought ot have appreciated that by such ad inerim order, the prestigious project couldn’t have been stalled.” The observation was followed by appreciation for the Division Bench for annulling the Single Bench order.
