Thiruvananthapuram : The India Meteorological Dept(IMD) forewarned high temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday especially in nine districts in State. Heat is forecast to be scorching in districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Palakkad.
Temperatures in Thiruvananthapuram could shoot to 36°C (3 °C - 5 °C above normal) and in Alappuzha, Kottayam and Palakkad districts up to 35°C (3 °C - 5 °C above normal) and up to 34°C (3 °C - 4 °C above normal) iIn districts of Ernakulam Thrissur, Malappuram and Koshikode.
