Kochi > T R Chandra Dath, Director of Centre for Science and Technology For Rural Development (COSTFORD), passed away. Chandra Dath a well known personality in social, cultural, and political realms, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi. He was 75.
Chandra Dath who has always been in the forefront of progressive movements, was also the organizer of ‘EMS Smrithi’- a national seminar organized every year in memory of EMS Namboothirippadu.
He made notable contributions in the leadership of NGO Union, KGOA, and FSCTO. After retirement he became more active in politics and cultural activities. He is a member of CPI M.
He was born to Communist leader T K Raman and E R Kunjippennu. Kairali TV Director T R Ajayan is his brother.
His body will reach Thrissur for the public to pay homage. The body will be handed over to Thrissur Medical College in the evening.
