Thiruvanantahpuram : It is important for the youth to debate why, despite gaining independence through historic struggle, the women even today face inequality, said SFI All India Vice President Aishi Ghosh. She was speaking at inaugural of seminar titled “Youth For Gender equality” in Kazhakoottam organised by the All India Democratic Women’s Association, in prelude of its 13th AIDWA National Conference.
Throughout history, it is women that have fought on the frontlines against these injustices. In times now, women should now come forward and stand by minorities to fight such struggles, said Aishi Ghosh.
The seminar was presided over by Youth Commission Chairperson Chintha Jerome. SFI State Presient Anushree was the keynote speaker. Rajev Krishnan, the delegate from Technopark Employees’ Union “Prathidwani” also spoke on the occasion.
Other distinguished gests included AIDWA All India Vice President P.K. Sreemathi., State Vice President T. Geenakumari, District Executive Member Jalajakumari and Kazhakootam Area Secretary Revathi.
