Thiruvalla : A 7-year-old and grandmother were killed in a vehicle crash on TK Road in Thiruvalla’s Manjadi on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Manganam Chittadeth Ponamma(55) from Kottayam and her grandson Krithartha.
Krithartha’s mother Sreekutty sustained serious injuries in the crash and remains in critical condition. She was shifted to Kottayam Medical College. Also present in the car were Sreekutty’s sister Shruthika and her son who sustained minor injuries.
All five of the family were returning from Vallamkulam in an auto-taxi when the driver reportedly blinded by glare of oncoming vehicle light, lost control and hit a car before rolling over.
