Thiruvananthapuram :: 30 private industrial parks shall be set up across 500 acres in State this year, said Minister for Industries P Rajeev, adding that, permission has been granted for 11 parks and that 3 more will gain sanction shortly.
The announcement came as the Minister gave away the Travancore Management Association(TMA) Leadership Award 2023 to Kerala Digital University Vice Chancellor Prof. Saji Gopinath.
Beside government sector, the govt intends to attract businesses and generate employment opportunities at private industrial parks. Apart from private parks, industrial parks shall also be promoted at campuses. Around 30 engineering colleges and three universities have come forth with the plan, the minister said.
Speakers at the award event comprised TMA President C Padmakumar, Ex-president Dr. M Ayyappan, Secretary Wing Commander Rajashree D Nair, and Senior Vice President Dr. C Jayashankar Prasad.
