Thiruvannthapuram : Thomas K Thomas is party nominee for Kuttanad seat in the upcoming Assembly by-election, said NCP Minister AK Saseendran.
There are no differences in the party over the candidate selection, the minister clarified jointly with MLA Mani C Kappen. The party held view that a family member of Late Thomas Chandy would be a preferable choice and there was consensus on considering his brother Thomas K Thomas for the seat, said Saseendran.
The candidature will be formally announced after LDF lends its approval, the minister added.
