Varkala : Three, including a doctor from Tamil Nadu, died at separate beaches in Varkala on Sunday. Ajay Vignes(24), a dental doctor, got caught in a whirlpool while bathing in the sea at Edaava Odam beach. His friend, Balashivaraman(23) who was close up is hospitalised and critical. The accident took place on Sunday 4 pm.
Raghunathpuram native from Varkala, Ajeesh(29) died at Papanasham beach swept up by waves. The third victim was Alamkode native resident of Puthiya Thandam Dremahil, Maheen(30) who died drowning while bathing in the sea.
