Kozhikode : The Collector declared Thursday a holiday for all educational institutions in Kozhikode including professional colleges owing to heavy rains and Orange Alert issued for the district. The announcement applies to Anganwadis upward. There is no change in prescheduled exams.
The Kannur Collector too declared holiday in the district for all Anganwadis, State, CBSE, ICSE schools, madarasas, UG and professional colleges etc for Thursday owing to severity of rains. Similarly, there would be no change to public exams scheduled prior.
The Collectors asked heads of educational institutions to make up for the missed days by adjusting schedules later.
