Too Many Loose Ends In 6-Year-Old’s Death, Says Family : Kollam

Web Desk‌Updated: Saturday Feb 29, 2020

Kollam : The family of the 6-year-old Devananda, found dead in Kollam’s Ithikara river, have their suspicions surrounding the child’s death. Devananda might have been abducted before her death, says  the child’s grandfather. Mohan Pillai.

The child never went to even the neighbour’s house on her own. She was found dead wearing her mother’ shawl(dupatta)  while she has never before has worn her mother’s clothing nor is she in the habit of wearing any kind of shawl outdoors.

Moreover, in the 15 minute that she is said to have disappeared, she cannot make it to the river even if she ran hard. It is not possible that  a child who does not dare to venture alone even to the road, would travel up to the distant river all by herself.

There are so many things that don’t sit right, Pillai said, but cant tell who the suspect might be, he added.
