Thiruvananthapuram : An assessment meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is underway to take stock of situation and evaluate prospect of opening dams including Idukki, as the out-of-season downpours continue to play havoc.
The online meet will discuss in particular the conditions precipitated by rains and landslides in central districts of Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Alappuzha. Partaking in the meeting are : Chief Secretaries, Department Secretaries and officials from the Disaster Management Authority.
