Thiruvananthapuram : A colourful procession will be take pan out Friday to herald transgender cultural fest “Varnapakitt” under aegis of state’s Social Justice Department. The procession beginning from Museum grounds in Thiruvananthapuram would be inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Dr. R Bindu.
Various art forms would be tableaued in the procession accompanied by “Muthukuda(decorated umbrellas)” and Karakattam(dance form). Participants comprise members of the transgender community, members from various socio-cultural realms, college students, teachers NCC/NSS volunteers and employees from the Social Justice Department.
The procession will culminated at University Campus, one of the main venues of the festival.
