Kannur : Two people, returning with their families after Mookambika darshan, were killed when their car crashed into the rear-end of a truck parked near Kannapuram bridge in Kannur’s Pilathara Pappinisseri. The deceased were identified as owner of Prema Hotel in Kornari, OK Prajal(34) and wife of Pulari Hotel near Kannur sub-jail, Poornima(30).
The accident took place in pre-dawn hour 2 am Saturday. It is unclear what caused the crash though it is speculated to be a fatal case of dozing off at wheel .
