Alappuzha :Two Ernakulam natives die in a two-car collision on Alappuzha bypass early this morning. The deceased were identified as Sunil Kumar(40), son of Marad native Rajappan and Babu(40), son of Chellanam native Kuttappan.
The accident took place at dawn 2 am at Bapu Vaidhyar junction when the north-bound car heading to Ernakulam collided with car traveling to Thiruvananthapuram. Babu and another passenger were traveling to Ernakulam while Sunil Kumar was going to Thiruvananthapuram with a Kalambalam native there.
Fire Force and police cut through tangled wreckage to retrieve all four. The two cars were on high speeds, said police.
