Two Nabbed With 21.5 Kilo Ganja In Kuttipuram

Kurunad : Two people were arrested by police in Kuttipuram with 21.5 kilo ganja in their possession.

The accused are : Gudaloor natives Sumesh Mohan and Shaijal, who were arrested close to MES College, during traffic inspection. The car is a Ritz registered in Tamil Nadu and the contraband lay hidden, wrapped in 11 packets - 6 inside the vehicle’s bumper and 5 in specially built box under the rear passenger seat.

Police had received anonymous tip on drug being smuggled along Kumbidi - Kuttipuram road following which, a combing operation of road traffic was launched leading to the cache.
