Kozhikode : The national seminar organised for today in Kozhikode would be a movement against Hindutva polarisation, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan. Uniform civil code is means of paving way for fascism. Tens of thousands will participate in the seminar. What’s crucial is the stance that would be upheld, said MV Govindan.
The Uniform Civil Code seminar is resistance against fascism. Uniform Civil Code would be the new slogan for Indian politics. CPI(M) is building up resistance to keep the society democratic. For RSS and BJP the Uniform Civil Code slogan is tool for polarisation. Regarding Congress, each of its State leaders has a different stand. This resistance is not a political front or alliance. Party politics does not come into the picture in this.
The LDF Convener does not need a special invite to the seminar. Each of us is part of the Party. The seminar is not organised by LDF. There are seminars being held in other districts too. It is not compulsory that one takes in seminar just here, MV Govindan said fielding questions from reporters.
