Kasaragod : Party workers stage sit-in protest inside DCC office in Kasaragod over Rajmohan Unnithan’s wriggling of those close to him into the reorganised Congress list in the constituency. Around 70 party activists led by KPCC member Karimbil Krishnan has positioned themselves in front of DCC President PK Faisal’s room since morning today. Anticipating animosity, the DCC president did not arrive to the office.
Having his way, Unnithan upended the Chemenni Mandalam Committee. It was originally agreed that either Jayraman or former Chemeni Madalam president, Srivatsan Puthur, should be office bearer. And, the protesters claim that Unnithan’s confidante and Youth Congress District Secretary Dhanesh would be appointed as president.
There are 12 booth committees in Chemeni of which, 10 booth committee presidents joined the sit-in protest. Activists arrived by a special bus around 10 am to lay siege to the office.
Unnithan Has Mental Problem, Opine Leaders
Rajmohan Unnithan shouts fiercely at Party workers that approach him. There has been instances when he has shouted mother and father-termed profanities. The demeanor stems from mental instability, said Karimbil Krishnan.
