Up to Rs 5 Lakh Fine For Selling Shawarma Without License

Thiruvananthapuram : License would be mandataroy for vending  Shawrma from now on. Violation would mean the the seller will be fined up to Rs 5 lakh beside jail for  up to 6 months, reads the government notification in this regard.

In fact, Food Safety license would be mandatory for sale of all types of cooked food. The fitness certificate of the food maker and the person serving have to be submitted to obtain license. Shawarma should be prepared in a neat and hygienic place. Clean knives shall be used to cu the meat and the burner stand must be clean as well, reads the guideline.
