Thiruvananthapuram : The Lokayukta on Friday dismissed case against Minister R Bindu, clarifying there was no misuse of power or anything untoward as alleged in the petition filed by Ramesh Chennithala.
In the letter send by Minister Bindu to the Chancellor there is no ‘recommending’ done with regard to appointment of Vice Chancellor at Kannur University. The content is only an opinion or suggestion at the highest, observed Justice Cyriac Joseph in his judgment, adding that it was upto the Chancellor to take or leave the suggestion.
The verdict spells huge setback to the Opposition that took media in its stride to kick up a shroud based on baseless allegations, hoping to mislead the public.
