Thiruvananthapuram : LDF will hold protests on 25th, 26th against Governor’s call for resignation of 9 Vice Chancellors, declared LDF Convener EP Jayarajan in a statement.
This kind of thing is happening amid state’s leap toward huge feats in the field of higher education. Kerala shone nationally while being evaluated by CHAI as state with high standards for its universities. The Governor demands resignation of Vice Chancellors even as 3 Commissions has been set up in the higher education sector and discussions are underway over the recommendations put forth by it.
Sangh Parivar’s goal to contain control of higher education sector in the hands of a few, shall be strongly opposed for. Kerala surges forward upholding core secularism and the Governor is fueled by RSS motive to beat just that. Stiff resistance must arise from all loving Kerala against attempts to destroy the education sector.
Governor cannot be allowed to exceed his powers so as to carry out RSS plans. Widescale public support shall be garnered to protest against this, said EP Jayarajan in the statement.
