Thiruvananthapuram : Aallegations Mathew Kuzhalnadan leveled against the Chief Minister’s daughters company, blew to bits as facts emerged. The GST Commissioner in his report to the Finance Minister stated that IGST(Integrated Goods and Services Tax) had been paid by the company on the money received against technical assistance it provided to CMRL..
Mathew Kuzhalnadan had alleged that Veena’s company never paid GST on Rs 1.72 crore received. The said company, Exalogic Solutions, is registered in Bangalore. The GST Commissioner, based on inspections in Kerala and Bangalore, reported that IGST was indeed paid against the Rs 1.72 crore in question.
The Interim Settlement Board of the Income Tax Dept in its Order states Veena received Rs 1.72 crores into the company. Kuzhalnadan and the Opposition picked on this data and interpreted it as monthly kickback for Chief Minister’s daughter.
Mathew Kuzhalnadan had also alleged that he was being denied information on GST paid against his RTI query. That brag was made without disclosing the rule that personal tax information on individuals is not givable under Right To Information Act. Kuzhalnadan recently told media he would apologise to Veena if it was found that IGST was paid.
