Vehicles Seized For Lockdown Violations To Be Released Soon

KOCHI : Following a permission granted by the High Court Friday, vehicles confiscated for violating lockdown rules shall be released to their owners.

 

The police had approached High Court for the nod as courts across districts were shuttered under lockdown . To take custody of their vehicles, the owners must however first deposit Rs 1000 against their two-wheelers, Rs 2000 if it is a car or Rs 4000 if it be a heavy duty vehicle. Also they have to produce insurance certificate at the concerned police station before taking their vehicle away.
