Vigilance Court Dismisses Petition Seeking Case Against Chief Minister, Daughter

Muvattupuzha : The Muvattupuzha Vigilance Court dismissed petition seeking Vigilance inquiry into CMRL’s “monthly pay-off” allegations leveled against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and daughter Veena Vijayan. The court said it cannot order investigation without  evidence on hand. There are no documents to suggest an offence took place, the court said, adding that, newspaper reports are not basis to instituting an investigation.

The dismissal came on petition filed by Kalamassery native Girish Babu alleging that payment received from the mining company was ‘monthly pay-off’ and sought action against CM and daughter over it.
