Malappuram: Former Minister and Muslim League MLA, V. K.  Ebrahim Kunju flouted terms of his bail in traveling to Panakkad to hold discussions with League leaders.

Ebrahim  Kunj,  who reached Panakkad on Friday noon paid visits at residences of League president Hyderali Shibah Thangal and District President Sadiqh Ali Shihab Thangal after which, he met with All India General Secretary PK Kunjalikutty. According to sources,  the  visits were purposed to arrange Kalamassery seat for his son Abdul Gafoor for the  coming Assembly elections. As news of his visits broke on TV, Ebrahim Kunju made a quick retreat.

EIbrahim Kunju, accused of corruption in Palarivattom flyover case, was allowed bail on the strict condition that he would not leave the district. The bail originally came on consideration for his health condition. While out on bail, Kunju plead with court for being allowed to attend mosque prayers in Muvattupuzha  following which, the course allowed to leaving the  district between 10th and 13th.

In its ruling, the court was emphatic that crossing the district should be undertaken exclusively for the stated prayer purposes. And, Ebrahim Kunju’s visit to Panakkad with political agenda is a far shot from that.
