Thiruvananthapuram : The IMD has forecast possibility of heavy or thunderous rains across State for today too. Five districts are issued Yellow Alert - Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. The scale could vary between 7 - 11 cm of rainfall and winds gust up to 40 - 45 kmph.
The IMD informs of a severe depression spotted over Bay of Bengal, which is expected take the northwesterly direction towards north of Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coast.
