Puthupally : This election will change the course of Puthupally’s 53-year history, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan. Development has become a topic of discussion in Puthupally; UDF thought it could make a easy win. They now understand that’s not the case, said MV Govindan.

LDF has gone far ahead in terms of propaganda. Development and politics came to be discussed widely. Opposition Leader VD Satheesan said development should not be discussed and further branded Jaick C Thomas as 4th rate. Notably, Congress does not utter a word against BJP in its election campaign, MV Govindan said.

When we look at Puthupally against the backdrop of fast development occurring in Kerala, we see how far behind this constituency lags. There’s  a growing feel among the people that Puthupally too should have development. Efforts are being made to meet with all voters personally. There has been large participation in meetings including family gatherings. Everybody has been spoken to about politics and development, the Party secretary said.

Onam was celebrated very well even as Centre financially stifles the State. Rs 18000 crores was spent on Onam celebrations. The funds required were come upon and  Onam was kept glowing, said MV Govindan.
