Will Transform North Kerala Into State’s Landscape For Industries: Minister P Rajeev

Kannur : North Kerala shall be transformed into state’s landscape for industries, said Industries Minster P. Rajeev. There is great potential for industrial growth in the state’s northern hemisphere The KSIDC Regional Office, currently located in Ernakulam,  is being moved to  Kozhikode. Mattanoor will become KINFRA’s main operational centre. This will bring about huge transformation in districts of Kannur and Kasaragod,  the minister said,  speaking at “Meet The Minister” programme  convened in Kannur.

Space in adequate measurements shall be provided to businesses entrepreneurs at Kinfra Park in Mattanoor. Proximity to international airport is a conducive factor. Facilitation centres shall be set up at taluk levels. System shall be set in place to redress grievances in timely manner. It is government’s goal to provide all necessary infrastructure and support systems for development of industries in the state.

3200 micro, small and medium scale (MSME)  units were set up in the state amid ongoing Covid crisis. It is aimed to have maximum possible investments pumped into the state. Shortage of space is  challenge. Keralites on an average have good living standards and a high degree of  environmental awareness. The state also possess favourable weather conditions and quality work force, the minister said.

A meeting of trade union leaders was convened later to discusses  problems confronted by workers. Agriculture-based enterprises shall be set up at Mattannur park. The park will also house fishes and perfume – oriented businesses, the minister said.
