Seoul, South Korea : Police in South Korea arrested a woman Thursday on request of New Zealand authorities who suspect she killed her two children aged 7 and 10, packed their bodies in suitcases and left it at a storage unit in Auckland four years ago before fleeing the country.
The children’s bodies were discovered last month after a unsuspecting New Zealand family bought truckload of abandoned goods, including the two suitcases, from a storage unit in Auckland in an online online.
The 42-year-old woman was born in South Korea and later migrated to New Zealand and secured citizenship. She returned to South Korea in 2018 giving no clues to her whereabouts to those who knew her.
The police tracked her to the killing, after finding her address in New Zealand registered to the storage unit where the suitcases remained for four years now.
The woman has been transported to Seoul where case for her extradition will commence.
