Palakkad : 11 leaders in Palakkad raised grave allegation of Mandalam Presidents in Youth Congress being appointed on money basis. They lodged a complaint with AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal citing the scenario. In the complaint, the Youth Congress members accused state president Shafi Parambil and district president TH Feroze Babu of acting like dictators. The complaint with 11 signatories was handed to Venugopal during the Youth Congress district meeting.
The letter bore signatures of State Secretaries Sajesh Chandran, AK Shanib, District Vice Presidents Ratheesh Pudushery, Rohit Krishna, Secretaries K Sajan, Akarsh K Nair, N Sripathy, PV Hari, Executive Committee Members Rahul Krishna, KV Hussain and Nenmara Block President S Vinod. A copy of the complaint was also given to KPCC President K Sudhakaran and Youth Congress All India President BV Sreenivasan. The letter alleged that two Mandalam Presidents in Chittoor constituency were appointed by accepting money.
The complainants also claimed that delegates to the District Conference were selected based on personal choice. They further said Feroze Babu is doing things that make no sense at all and the District Conference was aout segregation and that the District Conference was being conducted for collecting funds. The complaint asks to lay control on Feroze Babu. The 2-day District Conference that began on Sunday, ended yesterday. KPCC Working President T Siddique MLA inaugurated the conference.
