Vypin : A Youth Congress Leader from Vypin was arrested under POCSO. The culprit is : Vypin Mandalam General Secretary, Jyothish and is charged with sexually molesting a minor girl on promise of marriage.
Jyothish, was arrested Friday evening. He is an active Youth Congress figure in the locality and is has close connections with party seniors in the district. Anticipating trouble, the accused tried to make his escape but was nabbed by police anyway. Jyothish was produced in court this morning and sent into remand.
