Kochi : Youths arrested for burning the Collector’s effigy in Lakshadweep to mark protest should be released immediately, the High Court ruled Tuesday.
Locking them up for 5 days in remand has been infringement on their right to freedom, the court observed and further asked Sub-Collector to submit report in the incident.
The court instructions came while presiding over petition on air ambulance guidance issued by the government recently.
