1 Soldier dies, 1 Terrorist Killed In Encounter In Kashmir

Srinagar : A soldier was killed in Kashmir’s Kupwara on Wednesday during a search-and-cordon operation after detecting suspicious movement in the area. The Non Commissioner Officer(NCO) got critically wounded in a gunfight and died shortly after.

A terrorist was also shot dead n this encounter. The is the second deadly encounter in 24 hours. On Tuesday, a soldier, Subhah Chander, was slain while thwarting an infiltration bid in Poonch district along the Line of Control(LoC).
