Barmer, RAJASTHAN : 11 people have died and 22 others in injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Wednesday.
The incident took place at the Baramer-Jodhpur highway near Bhandiawas. The severity of the collision set the vehicles ablaze, rendering it impossible for firefighters to near the vehicles for more than an hour. According to unconfirmed reports, as many as 22 deaths occurred from people being burnt alive in the flames.
The bus took off from Balotra at 9.55 am and was bound for Jodhpur when it crashed into the tanker heading on from wrong-side of the road.
