New Delhi> New Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will handle all 13 portfolios she managed in the previous government led by Arvind Kejriwal, including education, revenue, finance, power, and public works. Officials announced that the Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has approved Atishi's proposal for the allocation of portfolios among her cabinet ministers. Kejriwal, the former CM did not hold any specific portfolio.
Atishi has kept four ministers from the previous government: Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, and Imran Hussain. She has also invited Mukesh Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from Sultanpur Majra, as a new member to her cabinet.
Bharadwaj will keep his previous portfolios and take on the social welfare and cooperative departments, which were previously headed by Raaj Kumar Anand before his resignation in April. In addition, he will also be responsible for health, urban development, irrigation, and tourism with a total of eight portfolios, Bharadwaj will hold the most portfolios after the Chief Minister.
