Red Fort Attack: SC Affirms Capital Punishment For LeT Terrorist Mohd Arif

New Delhi : After twenty to years, the Lashkar-e-Taiba(LtT) terroris Mohammad Arif alias Ashfaq  is confirmed for the gallows. The Supreme Court Beanch headed by Chief Justice  on Thursday dismissed the review petition challenging the top court’s previous order upholding death penalty in connection with the Red Fort attack of 2000 which claimed lives of one civilian and two Army jawans.

In the case Arif was arrested with wife Rehmana Yousuf Farooqui four days after the attack. He however is the lone convict and found guilty of  murder, criminal conspiracy and waging war against India.
