NEW DELHI : Massive fire broke out at a luggage manufacturing factory in Delhi leaving at least 32 dead and several others injured. Over 50 people were rescued from the blaze.
The incident took place around 5.20 am Saturday. At least 20 persons were reported trapped inside the building when the fire broke.
The bag unit measuring 600 sq ft operates in a residential area in Dehi’s Anaj Mandi. The factory manufactures school bags, plastic water bottles and such luggage accessories.
The cause of fire is not immediately clear. Rescue operations are underway.
