NEW DELHI : Early trends of Delhi election results suggest a comfortable lead for Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) in 50 seats in Delhi from the total of 70 seats. BJP trails next with lead in 19 seats. The Saffron party has increased its voteshare this time around though.
Both Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who contested from New Delhi and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from Palparganj, have surging way ahead in their respective constituencies.
Alka Lamba who ditched AAP for Congress the last moment, is beaten back in her constituency of Chandni Chowk.
Counting began at 8 am Tuesday morning. AAP was seen in huge lead soon after postal vote counts concluded. People will bolster the party with 60 seats as returns for their people-oriented endeavours , say AAP leaders.
Arrangements for celebrating AAP's , whatt is described as sureshot victory, are set up throug the city.
BJP increased its share of votes to 10%, leading in 19 seats as of now.
